Mast climbing platforms used for construction of storage tanks for chemical company in Scotland
RECO Hoist, has placed four Scanclimber SC4700 mast climbing work platforms, fitted with a 9 meter wide platform with a working height of up to 36 meters, for a major contractor in the UK. Currently they are busy with the construction of a storage tank for chemical company Ineos in Grangemouth, Scotland.
Each work platform is equipped with an additional fold-out platform at both ends, so that the walls of the circular storage tank can be easily accessed to attach tension cables. The contractor requires the tension cables for extra reinforcement of the structure in order to be able to place the concrete roof. RECO Hoist delivered and installed the scanclimber in close collaboration with RECO (NL). The Scanclimbers will be used for a total of 16 weeks. After completion of the project, the tank is intended for the storage of shale gas that is supplied from the United States via the Gulf of Mexico.
This project once again demonstrates that the combined capacity of RECO and RECO Hoist makes virtually everything possible in the field of vertical transport.
