RECO Common Tower Hire (5x1.6m)
The 5x1.6 metre RECO Common Tower is our smallest version of the more conventional size tower systems. The 5x1.6 version offers an alternative to traditional scaffold runoff towers, supporting up to 2 construction hoists up to a total of 6,400kg in payload capacity. One of the main advantages of the 5x1.6 metre floors is that the individual floors can be pre-constructed prior to delivery, then transported to site as a completed floor, ready to lift directly into position to the next designated floor level. This is an ideal solution when ground space is of a premium, with the tower being pre-constructed there is no need to use valuable ground space to build the floors on site prior to lifting on to the next desired floor level.

Improve vertical logistics and fit-out program
The use of a RECO Common Tower ensures safer building, faster on-site transportation and reduced building costs. Our self-engineered tie system allows the ties to be removed, the cladding panels to be installed, and the ties to quickly be put in again. In this way you can make all building floors dry and watertight, so the inside fit-out program can start and in some cases completed. By combining the Common Tower with larger construction hoists, such as the Alimak Scando 650 XL FC 25/50 passenger goods hoist, you can accommodate the transportation of larger cladding/façade panels or even prefab bathroom pods.
Add-on Staircases and Loading Docks
By integrating several add-ons to the Common Tower at your construction site, you are able to use the tower even more efficiently. To improve horizontal transportation on construction sites, the RECO Hoist specialists developed the modular Loading Dock system. These customised transportation platforms are built at ground level to allow freight to be loaded onto the hoists directly from the lorry. The barrier-free access has many uses, and if often constructed to the same height as a standard lorry bed to form a safe and level passage between the lorry and the hoist. Materials can then be loaded safely and efficiently prior to transporting to the desired floor levels. This system can reduce waiting times tremendously and decrease movements by forklifts at the construction site.
To further increase safety and accessibility, temporary stairs can be integrated into the Common Tower. This solution makes for a primary or secondary means of access and egress. Adding emergency-staircases to your high-rise construction site has never been so easy. And because it’s integrated into the common tower, these stairs require far less tie-ins than regular scaffold staircases, resulting in less damage to the façade and quicker installation times.
Create platforms to store materials or as overhead protection
For more space to store goods or to create safe passages alongside the building site, the Common Tower materials can also be used to create overhead protection. Commonly known as ‘crash-decks’ this system will not only protect personnel but also prevent damage to goods or surroundings as a result of falling objects. Due to the large payload capacity, these platforms can also be used as extra storage or working space. For instance, an overhead platform can be constructed above a public road next to the building site to create extra space.
