‘The Ocean Valiant’ was originally built in South Korea in 1988 and is currently owned by Diamond Offshore Drilling company based in Houston, USA. It was initially installed in the Brent oil field in the North Sea. In the past 5 years it has been working off the coast of Cameroon, western Africa. At this new location it extracted oil worth over 1 billion dollars each year for Maersk Oil & Gas.
Access to platform by Alimak passenger hoist
To bring personnel and materials to the platform we’ve installed a 20/32 Alimak passenger hoist for the Global Energy Group. The Alimak Hek hoist provided an efficient, safe, reliable and cost effective method of getting both personnel and materials from ground level to the platform of the rig.
